As one of the most famous Roman philosophers, Seneca, has described, ‘Luck Is What Happens When Preparation Meets Opportunity’. This preparation does not mean having mere theoretical knowledge in the given field, but also having a practical perspective by which you can add your own self to contribute something more to the field. Theoretical knowledge can give you a job but it can’t build a career. Times have changed, and from my experience, I can tell you that big companies always look for ‘resources’ rather than just ‘employees’. To become a potential resource, one needs to identify ones aptitude and align the training accordingly, which can boost the learning curve and make learning and working an enjoyable experience.
